Commission Volunteer Opportunities

The City is seeking residents to fill volunteer positions on the following: Environmental Stewardship Commission and the Urban Forestry & Beautification Commission.

The Environmental Stewardship Commission advises the Administration and City Council on issues and programs related to solid waste collection, administration of recycling programs, composting, environmental education, sustainability, and stewardship. The ESC meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

The Urban Forestry & Beautification Commission advises Council on the enhancement of public properties, beautification efforts, and promotes forestry advising Council on Urban Forestry issues. They also organize and facilitate park clean-up days and tree planting events. The UFBC meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

If you are interested in applying for one of these volunteer opportunities, please fill out the Online Board-Commission-Task-Force-Application or print and complete the Board-Commission-Task-Force-Volunteer-Application-Form (PDF) and either drop it off at the City Building or you can email the application to Customer Service.
