Recruit Information

Have you considered becoming a volunteer firefighter or EMT, but need more information? Wyoming Fire and EMS offer its members a diverse and dynamic working environment. Firefighter and EMT recruits receive training and equipment with a commitment of three years of service. In addition, the department offers weekly drills and various special trainings throughout the year. Please contact Chief Dennis Brown, at 513-842-1357  to learn more information about becoming a volunteer firefighter.

In order to be a volunteer firefighter you must:

  • Be 18 years old
  • Be a high school graduate or have your GED
  • Complete your Firefighter I Course or EMT Basic Course

If you are interested in volunteering with Wyoming Fire and EMS we will provide your training and equipment in return for volunteering three years of committed service.

  • Great work environment – Ohio PERS
  • Hiring part-time Paramedics
  • Paramedics will work 12/24 hour shifts – flexible scheduling
  • Applicant must be able to work select weekends, nights, and holidays
  • All applicants must hold a current Ohio Paramedic Certification
  • Must have current BLS-CPR and ACLS
