Springfield Pike Improvement Plan: Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety
The Springfield Pike Improvement Plan (PDF) proposes pedestrian and bicycle safety improvements along the Springfield Pike corridor. This is a joint planning document with the Village of Woodlawn, developed in coordination with planning consultant KZF Design, to ensure a cohesive design along the shared transportation corridor. Wyoming’s study area includes the Promenade (the area from the Civic Center to the Wyoming branch library), North Pike, and the Wyoming-Woodlawn gateway. Improvements could include high-visibility crosswalks, curb bump-outs, improved bus shelters, pocket parks, new landscaping, bike lanes on the west side of the Pike, and public art, among others.
