Commission Volunteer Opportunities
The City is accepting applications from residents to serve on the Board of Zoning Appeals, Civil Service Commission, Environmental Stewardship Commission, and Promote Wyoming Commission.

Board of Zoning Appeals: The BZA is a quasi-judicial board, which hears and decides appeals and variance requests presented by citizens regarding the current zoning code and related regulations. The Board meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. when a case has been submitted by the deadline date.

Civil Service Commission: The Civil Service Commission is an autonomous commission which is responsible for overseeing and providing input on civil service hiring processes in the City (for positions that are classified as Civil Service). Their key responsibilities/tasks include overseeing the content and supervision of civil service hiring processes, position exams, certification of eligible candidates, and consideration of appeals. Members also regularly review the civil service regulations in place for the City. The Commission meets on an as-needed basis.

Environmental Stewardship Commission: The ESC recommends proposals for management of solid waste for adoption by City Council. It advises the administration and City Council on issues and programs related to solid waste collection, administration of recycling programs, composting, and environmental education, sustainability, and stewardship. The ESC meets on the second Wednesday evening of each month.

Promote Wyoming Commission: The Promote Wyoming Commission (PWC) is seeking a Wyoming resident volunteer with professional experience in photography, graphic design, advertising, marketing, and/or journalism. At present, a resident skilled in photography and/or graphic design would be especially welcome

The PWC in the City is an action-oriented body whose main purpose is to promote the City of Wyoming to potential residents and business patrons, and act to promote and assist with community news and events. The Commission also assists with community branding, public communication and marketing efforts, new resident reception, promotional projects, and other similar efforts and activities. The Commission meets on the second Tuesday evening of each month.

Wyoming Community Foundation Board Member Vacancies
The Wyoming Community Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) dedicated to enhancing, promoting, and lending financial stability to the quality-of-life offerings in the community. The foundation works to connect people with good ideas, real needs, and charitable resources, so that amazing things can happen. The Wyoming Community Foundation is seeking two individuals to serve as active board members that assist with fundraising efforts in order to support special projects in the community.
