Wyoming Water Works
The water processed at the Wyoming Water Plant exceeds all EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) requirements. To meet such requirements, the Water Works Department adopted the following process:
- Lime Softening (reducing the mineral content of well water)
- Chlorination (disinfecting the water for distribution)
- Filtration (clarifying the water)
- Fluoridation (to prevent dental cavities, implemented in 1953)

The Consumer Confidence Report is a report on the quality and safety of the City of Wyoming’s water supply for each calendar year and is mailed to all Wyoming Water Works customers each year in June.

Wyoming Water Declared “Best of the Best” in Taste Test
At the 2018 Ohio Section American Water Works Association (AWWA) Conference held in Columbus, Wyoming water was declared “Best of the Best” in the annual blind taste test. Our water was unanimously selected as the best by four judges in the categories of appearance, flavor, and odor. Wyoming previously won this award in 2011.
